The “Ticket to Work” (TTW) incentive was designed by the Social Security Administration to remove the barriers that beneficiaries of SSI and SSDI face returning to work. TTW allows individuals to maintain the availability of their health care services and medical coverage when returning to work, eliminates the “Medical Disability Review” while seeking employment, and pays for free employment services offered by an Employment Network of their choice.
Under TTW Social Security provides beneficiaries, between the ages of 18-64, with a Ticket that they may use to assign it to an Employment Network (EN). CILNCP is an approved Employment Network which offers:
-
Job searching assistance
-
Resume preparation
-
Interview skills
-
Job postings
-
Vocational counseling
-
Employment support systems
-
Assistance with job accommodations
-
Job coaching support
The ultimate goal of CIL’s TTW program is to assist beneficiaries to become self-sufficient through employment, and thereby no longer be dependent on cash benefits.
