Representative Payee Program - All people deserve a chance for financial well-being

Roads to Freedom is a fee-for-service Organizational Representative Payee for the Social Security Administration (SSA) that covers the entire state of Pennsylvania.

There are three requirements to be eligible for our Rep. Payee Services:

​

  1.  Be an adult, 18 years of age or older

  2.  Be receiving Social Security benefits

  3.  Be required by SSA to have a Representative Payee

As the Representative Payee, we will:

​

  •  Develop a budget for each individual

  •  Involve them in ALL financial decisions

  •  Assist individuals in understanding SSA letters and payments

  •  Paying primary expenses* that are deemed necessities by Social Security

  •  Paying secondary expenses** that are not deemed necessities by Social Security

  •  Creating a monthly savings plan, if applicable

 

* rent, utilities, food, and medical/pharmacy bills. Spending money will be issued after these expenses have been met.

** telephone, cable, transportation costs, and any other debt owed
